Dispatch 8/16/18--What we Need to Know

While Washington is mired in its reality show fallout, an important question remains: What should we know before we appoint someone to the Supreme Court for life? At the very least, we should probably know what he wrote while on the public payroll. Right? Unfortunately, the GOP is arguing that Judge Kavanaugh's work during President George W. Bush's administration aren't relevant to Kavanaugh's appointment. This must be a deal breaker. There are just too many questions. Call the members of the Senate Judiciary Committee today.
Dispatch 8/9/18--Turn to Blue
Help us beat the heat as we turn Indiana blue!
As we get closer to the election, we have a large number of volunteers and campaign staffers at MCDP headquarters every day. One thing that's a big help is prepared food for headquarters--especially home cooked meals! If you are interested in signing up to provide a meal for our volunteers and campaign staff, please email MCDP Executive Director Kaisa Goodman at [email protected]. We are also in need of bottled water to give to volunteers knocking doors in the heat

This is it. From reproductive rights to voting rights, protection for pre-existing conditions, labor protections & rights, and freedom from discrimination—the nomination of Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the U.S. Supreme Court has huge implications. This is not to mention his partisan opinions about investigating presidents, previous obfuscation about his role in the Bush White House, quick disappearing debt for baseball tickets, and millions of yet-to-be-released documents from his stint in government. The bottom line is that this nomination has the potential to undermine decades of progress toward social justice.
Dispatch 7/4/18--Happy Independence Day!

Happy Independence Day! We hope you have had a safe and wonderful holiday. Thank you to everyone who marched in today's parade and supported our entry: "This is What Democracy Looks Like!" We had a fantastic turnout; watch this video to see our proud marchers.
