December 30, 2015 – Holly M. Harvey, attorney and owner of Holly Harvey Law, LLC, formally announces her intent to file as candidate for primary nomination for Judge of the Monroe Circuit Court, Division I in the 2016 Monroe County election as a Democrat.
Harvey looks forward to the challenge of an exciting election year and hopes to continue to serve the public and legal profession as a member of the Monroe Circuit Court. “The office of Judge is the pinnacle, in my opinion, of public service and service to the legal profession,” says Harvey. “I would be honored to serve the citizens of Monroe County in that capacity. It’s been something I have been working toward for some time.”
With nearly 20 years of experience as a local attorney and community volunteer, Harvey was with the law firm of Bunger & Robertson from 1997 to 2013, before opening her own practice. During her career, she has been a regular presenter for continuing legal education programs as well as a judge pro tempore in the Monroe Circuit Court. Professionally, Harvey is active with the Indiana State Bar Association, and she serves on the Board of Directors of the Monroe County Bar Association, Monroe County Bench-Bar Conference Planning Committee, and as a volunteer attorney for Monroe County CASA. Harvey rounds out her family law practice as a trained mediator, a member of Bloomington Association of Collaborative Professionals, and a parenting coordinator.
Harvey has been a Bloomington resident since 1990, when she entered Indiana University as an undergraduate. She enjoys her community involvement as vice president of the St. Charles School Commission and as a member of Tri Kappa philanthropic sorority. She and husband, Matt, have three sons, and are involved with their extracurricular activities.
