I recently wrote in a letter to the editor (April 16, H-T), regarding the auditor’s race, that “only Kevin Easton has personally done these audits at the federal level.” I have come to understand that Terri Porter had more direct auditing experience than I realized, and her training and experience makes her at least as qualified as Kevin Easton for the auditor’s position. I apologize for the statement I made without confirming all the facts.
