I'm voting for my friend Rick Dietz for Monroe County commissioner for two reasons. First, he's a decent and thoughtful person. Other candidates may also be decent and thoughtful, but I've known Rick for six years now and he has proven it to me. Second, he shares much of my vision for what our community should strive to be. He believes in equity for all people, a healthy natural environment and a progressive business community. The future of Monroe County is uncertain, but Rick has a great head on his shoulders and will deal well with any hurdles tomorrow might lay before us.
