John Gregg, the Democrat running to unseat Gov. Mike Pence, has tapped state Rep. Christina Hale to be his running mate.
Gregg formally introduced her as his pick for lieutenant governor at a 9:30 a.m. news conference at the Artsgarden in Downtown Indianapolis. The pair also have events later today at regional airports in Evansville, Sellersburg, Fort Wayne and South Bend.
"In Rep. Hale, I have found a full partner who is not only ready to govern, but who has the experience and the passion, the desire to help me refocus Indiana's state government on the things that really matter to Hoosiers," Gregg said. "She is a hard worker who dives deep into important issues and does not shy away from those important issues. And she is known as one who reaches across the aisle and works across the aisle to get things done."
