Hans Kelson files for Benton Township Board
Hans Kelson has filed his candidacy as a Democrat in the May Primary election for the Benton Township Board. Kelson wants to ensure that the Township provides social and emergency services in his rural community, and is committed to fair and transparent government.
Kelson said, "I am very excited for the chance to serve my community. It’s time for us to have a constructive conversation about how Benton Township can continue to provide emergency services and improve them for the future."
Kelson, who will turn 18 before the primary, has lived in Benton Township all his life. A homeschooler since birth, Kelson currently works for the Monroe County Government as a computer technician. He is active in the community and in youth leadership at his church, and has volunteered for the Democratic Party since the 2008 Obama campaign.
