Please plan to join your Monroe County Democratic Party friends & families at the upcoming July 4th Parade! While there are few announced candidates for 2018, we would like to showcase organizations that form our Democratic coalition.

Our assembly point is the Pink Lot, which is the IU parking lot behind Kilroy's at 4th and Dunn. We will start to assemble at 8:00 a.m. and the march begins at 10:00 a.m. Roads in the parade area close at 9am. Recommended parking is the IU ramp between Indiana/Henderson and Fess at Atwater.

A few rules and suggestions: (1) children under 7 must be accompanied by an adult; (2) please no pets; (3) we will have jugs of cool water but you may wish to bring your own. We are also looking for two golf carts for disabled Democrats; please contact Edward Robertson if you can provide a golf cart or if you need to ride one. Please sign in when you arrive to march. Adults will be required to sign a waiver form, which can be found here.

If you have signs (two recommended) for a candidate, affiliate group, or issue (we already have health care signs) please arrive before 9am.   We will have candy to distribute and a few small flags. We look forward to marching with all of you and showing our strong support within the community!
