Serving the people of Monroe County has been my greatest privilege, and I am excited to run for re-election to the District IV seat in 2018. In my next term on council, I will continue my commitment to improving the quality of life for all Monroe County residents through prudent fiscal policy and responsible stewardship of taxpayer resources.
My specific plans call for further promoting responsible economic growth, strengthening the local safety net, and providing more opportunities for addiction treatment and mental health services in the community. In recent years, Monroe County has achieved notable gains in public safety and economic growth. Substantial investments in our public safety operations made it possible to hire much-needed additional road deputies and emergency dispatch personnel. As a result, Monroe County residents and families are safer today.
We have also taken bold steps to reinvigorate our local manufacturing sector resulting in significant job growth in our community. At a time when many manufacturing jobs in Indiana continue to get outsourced to other countries, Monroe County is experiencing a resurgence in quality jobs and wages thanks to our favorable business climate.
The oncoming challenges in our community will not be easy, and we have a lot of work ahead of us. I will rely on my County Council experience, my Democratic ideals and strong consensus building skills to get the job done right for Monroe County residents. If voters would like to know more about me or have questions, I would welcome a call at 812.219.1910 or an email at [email protected]. You can also find my campaign on Facebook.
I look forward to continuing our work together to bring Monroe County to new heights!
