Dispatch 7/12/18--High Stakes Court

This is it. From reproductive rights to voting rights, protection for pre-existing conditions, labor protections & rights, and freedom from discrimination—the nomination of Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the U.S. Supreme Court has huge implications. This is not to mention his partisan opinions about investigating presidents, previous obfuscation about his role in the Bush White House, quick disappearing debt for baseball tickets, and millions of yet-to-be-released documents from his stint in government. The bottom line is that this nomination has the potential to undermine decades of progress toward social justice.

That is why MCDP Chair Mark Frailey, Monroe County Black Democratic Caucus President William Hosea, Indiana Democratic Latino Caucus--9th District Vice Chair Sofia McDowell, and Bloomington High School South Democrats President Nidhi Krishnan made this video on how the Supreme Court nominee will affect their constituency groups:
