Three days before his bid for re-election in North Carolina, a Republican senator makes an off-the-cuff remark to a blogger that calls into question his belief in God. While his devoutly Christian wife and his liberal Jewish campaign manager try to contain the damage, discussions about the influence of religion, guns, and social media on our political system ensue. Church and State is simultaneously funny, heartbreaking, and uplifting.
Tickets are $25 general admission at the Buskirk Chumley Theater Box Office.
