Voting is underway. We need everyone to show up to the polls and vote this year if we want to keep Senator Joe Donnelly and turn the Ninth District blue for Liz Watson. These races will be close, and it will take every Democrat in Monroe County to support these candidates. You can even use our handy voter guide! Monroe County Election Central, 401 W. 7th Street, Suite 100, is open for early voting with the following schedule:

- Mon., Oct. 29 through Fri., Nov. 2: 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

After the DWC breakfast on Friday, November 2, join Shelli for a 2-hour shift in a Door2DoorBlowout, canvassing a whole host of Monroe County precincts, followed by lunch at Shelli's house. And finally, sign up for 2-hour shifts again on Saturday, November 3 and Sunday, November 4.

Monroe County Branch NAACP 40th Annual Freedom Fund Banquet

Join the Monroe County NAACP for the annual Freedom Fund Banquet. This year's theme is "DEFEAT HATE! VOTE!" Tickets are available at the Buskirk-Chumley Box Office:
- Adult - $50 each
- Youth (16 and under) - $25 each
The funds raised financially support the branch's activities such as the Scholarship Program for local high school seniors, public forums on significant civil rights issues, and support for community programs which advances the mission of the NAACP.
League of Women Voters Forum

The League of Women Voters is organizing a forum of local candidates on October 28th and October 29th. The Sunday forum will consist of county council candidates, while the Monday forum will include campaigns for Clerk, Commissioner, Recorder, and Judge. Please come out and support our Democratic candidates! They are working hard in the final weeks of the election and we need to show them that their party has their back. Join us on both days to participate in discussions on local issues and support our candidates.
