Alphonso (Al) Manns announces Candidacy for Judge - 3

Alphonso (Al) Manns is a graduate of Fisk University, Nashville, Tennessee, earning a Bachelor of Science degree (1964). Al worked as a laboratory assistant for Difco Laboratories, Detroit. Michigan (1965 – 1966).

Al served in the U.S. Army as a platoon leader, battalion intelligence officer and executive officer, honorably discharged with the rank of First Lieutenant (1966 – 1969). Al attended Indiana University Maurer School of Law, graduating with a Doctor of Jurisprudence (1972), and subsequently, attended the Indiana University School of Public and Environmental Affairs, earning a Master of Public Affairs (1975). Al has worked as a field examiner for the National Labor Relations Board, Region 25 (1971 – 1972), and Director of Human Relations and part-time assistant professor/associate instructor for the Bloomington Campus, Indiana University (1972 – 1979).  Al is admitted to the practice law by the Indiana Supreme Court; the United States District Court, Southern Indiana and Eastern District of California; the United States Court of Appeals for the 5th Supreme Court. Al has been in private practice since 1980 with offices in Bloomington, Indiana. Al is a member of the Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, Monroe County Bar Association, Indiana Bar Association, Indiana Bar Foundation, and American Bar Association.
