As part of our spring preparation for this year's elections, we are improving our HQ infrastructure and purchasing some economical but powerful computers and monitors. We have been desperately treading water with some very old computers for a long time. Although we have managed for the last few years, we're now past the breaking point where our old equipment is really holding us back. Our candidates, our office holders and our volunteers deserve better.
So, I am asking for your help. We are seeking donations to 'reboot' our headquarters technology program. Donations to our 'computer fund' will sponsor the new computers and monitors we need at headquarters. For sponsors of $200 or more, we will include your name, your group's name or a dedication on the computer or monitor that you have helped us purchase. I can't tell you how important this is to our plans for 2010. We are embracing technology like never before and this investment essential to our success. Your contribution will have an impact.
Any amount is greatly appreciated, but if you donate to this program at the $200 level or above we will place a notice such as "This computer (or monitor) was made possible by the generous donation of Rick Dietz." I didn't include my name just to be cheeky, I included it because I am personally donating to the MCDP computer fund, and I hope you will join me in doing so as well. It would be nice to see the names of some of the MCDPs strong supporters and office holders on these computers at our headquarters. This program will run through March 7, at which point we will replace as many of our old computers as we can. (And of course we will properly recycle them!)
You can contribute in two ways....
1) Online at http://www.actblue.com/page/techno
or
2) Write a check and mail it to the Monroe County Democratic Party at P.O. Box 92 Bloomington, IN 47402. Please indicate you are contributing to our computer fund.
Thank you for all that you do to support the MCDP and democratic values in our community!
