Alexander Files for Bloomington Township Trustee
Bloomington Township Board Member Kim Alexander has filed to run for Bloomington Township Trustee.
Alexander has been a resident of Bloomington Township for 18 years, and has served on the Township board since 2015. During her tenure, she helped establish the Northern Monroe County Fire Protection Territory (NMCFPT) with Bloomington and Washington Townships, resulting in improved fire and emergency services, as well as lower insurance rates for many citizens. She is also the appointed Board representative on the NMCFPT Executive Committee.
Alexander holds a Masters of Business Administration degree from the Thunderbird School of Global Management, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College. In addition to her work on the board, she has been active in the community as a volunteer with various organizations. She is currently employed with the City of Bloomington Utilities.
If elected, Alexander will collaborate with other organizations to address hunger, housing and poverty in our community, administer the daily business in a professional, reliable and responsive manner, and continue to uphold the highest standards of service in fire protection and emergency services.
“I have thoroughly enjoyed my work as a member of the township board and the executive committee,” Alexander stated, “and I plan to continue the initiatives and goals that Trustee Henegar and my fellow board members have established in order to make Bloomington Township a model of effective and responsive local government.”
Alexander has been endorsed by Democracy for Monroe County.
