The deadline to file as a candidate in the 2012 Primary Election is Noon on Friday, February 10th. All candidates who intend to run for county office need to fill out the following form:

Declaration of Candidacy for Primary Nomination (CAN-2)

and file it with the Monroe County Election Supervisor, Ruth Hickman, in the Justice Building no later than noon on February 10th.

Once you form your committee, there is a second form that needs to be filed within ten days of the formation of that committee, and also filed with Ruth in the Elections office:

Candidate's Statement of Organization and Designation of Principal Committee (CFA-1)

Then, during the course of your campaign, you will need to file periodic finance reports (CFA-4) according to the following schedule:

• Due 4/16: Report period 1/1/12 - 3/31/12
• Due 7/16: Report period 4/1/12 - 6/30/12
• Due 10/15: Report period 7/1/12 - 9/30/12
• Due 10/30: Report period 10/1/12 - 10/22/12
• Due 1/19/13: Report period 10/23/12-12/31/12
