Early Vote Rally with Local Democrats
Bloomington - The Monroe County Democratic Party is organizing an Early Vote Rally on Monday, October 19, the first day of early voting. Local Democrats will join gather outside the early vote center before walking over together and casting their votes in the 2015 general election. The event includes a gathering at 12 p.m. outside the Election Center, in which candidates for local office will speak about the stakes for the coming election.
“Bloomington has benefited enormously from a strong tradition of progressive leadership”, said Mark Fraley, local Democratic chair. “Our community has been at the forefront in promoting equal opportunity, economic fairness, and sustainability. We need to build on those successes in 2015 and create momentum for statewide victories in 2016”.

The event will also include remarks by Mayoral candidate John Hamilton, candidate for City Clerk Nicole Bolden as well as candidates for Bloomington Common Council.
“We have an incredible cast of candidates in Bloomington and Ellettsville this year”, added Efrat Feferman, Vice Chair for the Monroe County Democrats. “We are all very excited to cast the first votes to make John Hamilton the Mayor of Bloomington and preserve local Democratic leadership in Monroe County”
Early voting will be open from October 19-31. The general election will be on November 3. The Monroe County Democratic Party encourages all voters to take advantage of early voting.
